Born and raised in Russia, Ekaterina Juskowski moved to the United States at the age of 18 to study photography. She soon became interested in Social Studies, focusing on the relationship between gender politics and urban spaces. Due to the influence of French Dada poets and the writings of Camille Paglia she began exploring the boundaries between femininity and feminism. In her work she often fuses the aesthetics of classical painting with the absurd elements of everyday life.
Ekaterina’s live photography exhibit will take place at the next Young Artist Initiative, Miami’s avant-garde collective of young artists with the mission to contribute a unique substance to the landscape of culture and art. https://www.facebook.com/youngartistinitiative?fref=photo”
