Driven by a deep passion for collecting discarded Greek marble sinks, Antonitsis turns his attention for the first time to the nobility of stone and the poetry of repurposed remnants. He transforms these salvaged objects into a conceptual language shaped around three ideas: Lithos (stone), Lethe (oblivion), and Aletheia (truth—literally, “unforgetfulness”). Through this triadic lens, each sink becomes a vessel for reflection, elevating the forgotten into artifacts of cultural memory and contemporary archaeology.

“I recognize the secret life of these derelict marble sinks. By restaging them within a conceptual play, I unveil their dormant narratives. The engraved words “Lithos/Lethe/Aletheia” become inscriptions of metaphysical resonance—where mythology, philosophy, and ecological awareness converge in dialogue. The primordial Titan Lithos meets Duchamp’s readymade and Heidegger’s reinterpretation of Aletheia as “unconcealment.” Together, these figures cohabit an imagined escape room, where each must confront Lethe, the force of Oblivion, as an existential trial." - Dimitrios Antonitsis
